TasteRex for restaurants

Diners are ranking your dishes. Make sure they find the right ones.

Every TasteRex rating is about one dish, so your best plates get the credit they deserve. Claim your restaurant to manage your page and menu, and see what diners think of each dish.

How claiming works

Three steps, about five minutes.

  1. 1

    Find your restaurant

Search by name and pick your location. Not listed yet? Add it.

  2. 2

    Prove it's yours

Get a code at an email address on your restaurant's own domain. No domain? We'll call your listed number, or check a business document.

  3. 3

    Make it yours

Once approved, edit your page and menu, invite your team, and see your dishes' rankings.

What you get

Free to claim. Pro when you want more.

Free

Your page, your facts

Hours, address, phone, website, price level, a description and a cover photo. Keep them current from one place.

Free

Your menu, right

Add, rename or retire dishes, set prices and descriptions, and upload photos. Flag duplicates for us to merge.

Free

Dietary details only you know

Mark dishes gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free or modifiable. We never guess these, so diners with allergies rely on yours.

Free

Report a problem

Wrong location, a fake rating, a photo that is not your food. Reports from verified owners go straight to our team.

Pro

Dish analytics

Where each dish lands in diners’ rankings, how that moves month to month, verified dines, and how you compare nearby.

Pro

Sponsored placement

Put a dish at the top of search and discovery for the categories and neighbourhoods you choose. Set a budget, pause anytime.

Our promise to diners, and to you

Rankings can't be bought.

No one can pay to remove a rating or move a dish up a list, not even our advertisers. That's why a #1 on TasteRex is worth something, and why it's worth more to you when you earn it.

Questions

Restaurant FAQ

Anything else: restaurants@tasterex.com

Can I remove a bad rating?

No. Diners trust TasteRex because restaurants can’t remove ratings or pay to move up a list. If a rating breaks our Community Guidelines (it is fake, abusive, or about a different restaurant), report it and a person will review it.

Do sponsored placements change rankings?

Never. Rankings come only from diners. Sponsored placements appear in their own clearly labelled spot in search and discovery, and are never mixed into anyone’s list.

How do you verify that I own the restaurant?

The quickest way is an email to an address at your restaurant’s own website domain. If you don’t have one, we can call the phone number listed for the restaurant with a code, or check a business document such as a business licence. A person approves every claim.

I run several locations or a chain.

One claim covers the restaurant and all of its locations. You can invite managers and staff to help run the page.

Where did my menu come from?

From your public website and menus, read automatically, plus dishes diners add. Read how it works on our menu data page. Once you claim, your edits always win over the next automatic update.

What does Pro cost?

Pricing will be announced when Pro opens in Salt Lake City. Claiming and managing your page stays free.

Claim your restaurant.

Free, and about five minutes. By claiming you agree to the Restaurant Terms.
